"I build a world around myself

through principles and accountability,

and therefore I harbor resilience."

These concepts, books and organizations are tools for transformation; they are close to our hearts and inform our work.

The 12 Forms of Capital Forms of Capital broadens our conception of wealth and poverty to include social capital, knowledge capital, spiritual capital, and more. It is also one of the most practical way that we know to develop vision and goals in essential areas of your life. Our society focuses too much on the financial. A Tool to Connect to Our Body & Get Calm: The Spire

This little device has revolutionized Erik's work with clients. Attached by a clip to a waist band or belt, it measures respiration rates and depth of breath, continuously giving feedback on whether a person is calm, focused, or tense. It gathers data continuously and the user can aggregate the results in a number of ways. From Erik's perspective, it essentially replaces the use of thousands of dollars of biofeedback equipment and empowers the client to use biofeedback on their own.

Our consciousness begins with our relationship to our physical bodies, and our ability to regulate or influence our autonomic nervous systems through various breathing techniques. Breath is the basis of transformational techniques such as meditation, yoga, and hypnosis.

A Tool to Assess What You Hold Dear:

Personal Values Assessment - Barrett Values Centre

Who you are, what you hold dear, what upsets you, and what underlies your decisions, are all connected to your personal values.Your values reflect what is important to you. They are a shorthand way of describing your motivations. Together with your beliefs, they are the causal factors that drive your decision-making.

The Personal Values Assessment is a simple survey that takes just a few minutes to complete and provides a wealth of information about why you do what you do.

A Tool for Organizational Transformation: DramaWorks

DramaWorks InterActive is a group of extremely talented improvisational actors, who have learned and practiced a wide variety of technologies that can be used with live and virtual audiences and organizations to transform collective consciousness... the ancient tradition of the theatre... by making 'the invisible... visible.

DramaWorks has worked with some of the biggest corporations in the world as well as families, communities and non-profits.

Erik considers DramaWorks the most powerful tool in his 'Doctors Bag', especially when combined with the work of Richard Barrett and the Barrett Values Centre.
