A Tool to Connect to Our Body & Get Calm: The Spire

This little device has revolutionized Erik's work with clients. Attached by a clip to a waist band or belt, it measures respiration rates and depth of breath, continuously giving feedback on whether a person is calm, focused, or tense. It gathers data continuously and the user can aggregate the results in a number of ways. From Erik's perspective, it essentially replaces the use of thousands of dollars of biofeedback equipment and empowers the client to use biofeedback on their own.

Our consciousness begins with our relationship to our physical bodies, and our ability to regulate or influence our autonomic nervous systems through various breathing techniques. Breath is the basis of transformational techniques such as meditation, yoga, and hypnosis.
